If there is one word that could sum up this Priorat it would be luxurious. This winery has brought the old world into the new world, with extended hang time and new oak barrels. This grenache driven blend shows opulent red and black fruit, saddle leather, baking spices, dusty earth, and lots of oak on the nose. On the palate, it’s dry with bright acidity, present but silky tannins, and great length to the finish. If you are spending a ton of money on Napa Cab or Aussie Shiraz, try this one night, you will be delighted.
