60% Nero d’avola, 20% Syrah, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon. I tried this a few times and picked up a few bottles because I was so intrigued. On the nose, youthful aromas, medium+ intensity, chalky earth, spice, green olive, wild berry, pomegranate, serious earth, not overtly oaky. On the palate, dry, medium intensity, interesting array of flavors, medium tannin, med acidity, medium body, good length on the finish. I felt like this wine would get better if I had some food, I was thinking tapenade.
