1958 Porto Rocha Colheita Kopke

This was the closest image that I could find. I am shocked that I have never reviewed a port before, what a lapse of judgment. In all fairness, most of these wines choose me. On the nose, serious bouquet, of monstrous proportion, high intensity, extremely floral, with big cola character, some stewed fruit way in the back, and amazing spice. Wow, this nose was exceptional. On the palate, sweet, med+ intensity, med+ alcohol but balanced with the sugar, spicy cola finish that goes for a while. Interesting wine, delicious in many ways, certainly not cheap, but a nice present for a port lover that’s celebrating a 50th.
