Another awesome red from this producer, very competitive for the dollar. Ruby color with fading rim. On the nose, moving toward bouquet, medium+ intensity, raspberry, red plum skin, cranberry, chalky dusty soil element, leather, anise, clove, lots of earth, and moderate trances of oak. On the palate, dry, medium+ intensity, very well balanced chalky earth, sour cherry, raspberry fruit, spice, leather, medium tannin, medium acidity, very old world, with nice finish. This wine reminded me of very good Sangiovese from Tuscany with a bit more muscle.
