NV Perrier Jouet Brut Champagne

perrier+jouetBlonde color. This was out of a 3 liter bottle. On the nose, developed, medium intensity, bready, doughy, baked apple, lots of creamy notes, pretty spice, mineral, and some oak. On the palate, dry, medium intensity, beautiful body and balance, nice acidity, very creamy mouth feel, with a great finish. Always under-rated Chapamgne.

NV Krug Grand Cuvee Brut Champagne

WoW! Truly mind blowing and thought provoking. Golden blonde color. On the nose, youthful, apples, pears, lemon custard, flint, iron, lots of toasted bread, cinnamon, nutmeg, some oak, and definite earth. On the palate, dry, gorgeous weight, amazing body, near perfect acidity, with seamless integration of fruit, minerals, spices, with a very an A+ finish.…Continue Reading

On the palate, dry, medium+ intensity, dare I say perfect acidity, extremely balanced, with an amazing finish that…Continue Reading

NV Billecart-Salmon Brut Blanc de Blanc Grand Cru

On the palate, dry, medium+ intensity, medium+ body, medium+ acidity, beautifully balanced, but if your looking for fruit look elsewhere, because this…Continue Reading

NV Deutz Brut Classic Chamagne

I was floored by this beautiful champagne, and even more floored by how this wine lies in obscurity amongst popular Champagne culture here in the US. On the nose, youthful, medium+ intensity, loaded with stone and chalk, apples, toasted nuts, bready leesy note, not oaky, and plenty of earthy flavors. On the palate, dry, awesome…Continue Reading

NV Gatinois Brut Rosé Grand Cru

This obscure producer is in the “Grower Champagne” category, Bollinger uses this estate as a grape source for some of their top cuvees, but they keep the best parcel to label as their own. Pretty salmon color. On the nose, youthful, medium intensity, loaded with stony and chalky mineral, very nice spice component, flowers, strawberry,…Continue Reading
