Hard to believe this was a barrel sample, so soft, elegant, and ready to drink. On the nose, youthful, medium intensity, classic soil and stone component, strawberry, red cherry, cinnamon, hay, nutmeg, with some oak present. On the palate, dry, medium intensity, silky tannin, medium acidity, harmonious fruit and earth, with an impressive velvety finish of moderate length. I could have chugged this one.
