2007 Cono Sur 20 Barrels Pinot Noir Casablanca Valley

It’s getting harder and harder to find that killer Pinot under $27. I was pleasantly surprised by this wine. On the nose, youthful, medium intensity, nice wet earth and seaweed component, with pomegranate, cranberry, spice, and some oak. On the palate, dry, medium intensity, medium tannin, medium acidity, balanced alcohol, with a nice finish. The fruit was tart but still pleasant, I thought this might be better in a year.
