Platinum color. On the nose, youthful, medium intensity, peaches, mango, grapefruit, with lots of white flowers, slight mineral, with no oak to speak to. On the palate, dry, medium intensity, medium acidity, flowery fruit cocktail, with a solid finish. Not overly complex, but there’s no denying the umami of this wine.
Dark purple color. On the nose, youthful, medium intensity, lots of dark berries, boysenberry, blueberry, blackberry, wet earth, bark, herbs, leather, spice, lots of New World Oak, with subtle traces of mineral and earth. On the palate, dry, medium intensity, medium tannin, medium acidity, pretty nice balance, dark inky fruit, with some coffee flavors coming through, above average oak, but it’s nicely integrated with the the fruit, and framed by some cigar and forest flavors. Solid Malbec with moderate length to the finish. Not as delicious as the Norton or Altos Las Hormigas but this drinks pretty well.

Purple ruby in color. On the nose, youthful, medium intensity, inky black berry component, including blue and blackberry, and the rarely seen marionberry., with slight coffee, some oak, and layered with mineral. On the palate, dry, medium intensity, medium tannin, medium acidity, very nice balance, big-time dark berry, plum, mineral, licorice, cedar, pine, forest floor, layered flavors and moderate finish. A more austere version of the Cabernets on my trip to Mendoza.

Platinum color. On the nose, youthful, medium intensity, loaded with white flowers, peach, apricot, nectarine, tropical, grassy, mineral, no oak, with subtle earth. On the palate, dry, medium intensity, medium- acidity, bright stone fruit, with immense white rose, and lilac, with good balance, and a moderate finish. Interesting change of pace wine, that’s refreshing with some Halibut.
From some of the highest vineyards in the world, 6600 feet I think. Ruby color. On the nose, youthful, medium intensity, chalky earth, old tire, iron, black plum, cedars, loaded with granite, and minute amounts of oak. On the palate, dry, chalky and old world, dark berry fruit, granite, with medium+ tannins, medium acidity, good balance, with a rustic feel and finish. Not even the same world as Mendoza Malbec but worth a visit, and give it some air.

Platinum with yellow-green. On the nose, youthful, melon, grapefruit, lemon, lots of flowers, roses specifically, slight mineral, no oak, lots of perfume. On the palate, dry, medium+ intensity, medium- acidity, pretty and elegant with the flowers and fruit cocktail component, but low in acid, and not as balanced as this wine could be. They make a more expensive version of this that I had at the winery, and it was more acidic and balanced. I will visit that next.
Ruby with some brown to it. On the nose, youthful but moving toward development, medium intensity, plum, cherry, pine cone, cedar, tobacco, caramel, some oak, and no earth to speak to. On the palate, dry, medium intensity, medium tannin, good acidity, balanced, fruity, spicy, oaky, with good secondary leather and cedar, and a moderate finish. Not that recognizable as Cab Sauv but a delicious wine, is this one that I should have packed a box and shipped some back to the US?

Ruby color with fuschia edges. On the nose, youthful, medium+ intensity, blueberry, boysenberry, blackberry, coffee, leather, slight briary element, seaweed, some earth, and some oak. On the palate, dry, medium intensity, medium tannin, medium acidity, moderate alcohol, luscious and textured, spices a plenty, with some length to the finish. Good representation of Reserva Malbec, but not awesome, must revisit for further analysis!
