Every week I try to taste as much wine as I can humanly consume, in the never-ending effort to educate my palate. Most weeks I come up just about average, as far as tasters go. But sometimes, an extraordinary amount of wine is tasted, and every once in a while, comes a wine that transcends space and time, and throws my palate into a state of bliss.
