Someone brought this to the same blind tasting. Impossible to pick Oregon Syrah when your blind tasting, I said Malbec from Cahors. I really discourage people from bringing wines like this to blind tastings, all it does is hurts everyones methodology. Interesting wine though, I walked this vineyard in the southern part of the Willamette Valley and said "Your growing Syrah, here?"
Anyway, loads of earth, field of flowers, anise star, dried herbs, blackberry, and plum. Everyone was baffled by this wine because it kept evolving in the glass.
