2012 La Sacristie de la Vielle Cure Fronsac

This was the second BDX tonight with earthy meaty bologna on the nose followed by plums and cherries,  dark chocolate, tobacco, leather and spice. I’d call this nose complex, medium+ intensity, but not loaded with expensive oak, which is refreshing. On the palate, dry, medium intensity, medium acidty, medium tannins, with black fruit, earthy, spice box flavors, and good length to the finish. My barometer for how much a wine costs is way off these days with hyper-inflation, but if this is in the $25 realm, it’s a good deal.
